Que el Death Melódico sueco ha ejercido una gran influencia en los EEUU es algo que parece innegable al escuchar bandas como la protagonista de este post: All That Remains.Este combinado de Springfield, Massachusets, se fundaron en 1998 como un proyecto paralelo del por aquél entonces cantante de Shadows Fall, Philip Dabonte, que pasó a formar parte de All That Remains a tiempo completo cuando fué reemplazado en Shadows Fall por Brian Fair. El estilo de la banda oscila entre el metal-core y el death melódico, recordando a bandas como sus paisanos Trivium, Soilwork o los primeros In Flames. 'This Darkened Heart' es su segundo lanzamiento, que data del año 2004 y cuenta con la producción del guitarrista de Killswitch Engage, Adam Dutkiewicz, dando como resultado un sonido realmente cañero, con temas de gran calidad y garra dignos de ser escuchados.
